Pad printing & silk printing
In the Pad printing (or tampo printing) process a 2D image is transferred onto a 2D or 3D object. This is accomplished using
an indirect offset printing process that involves an image being transferred from the cliché via a silicone pad onto a substrate. Pad printing is used for printing on otherwise difficult
to print on products in many industries including appliances, automotive, apparel, electronic objects, etc
In the silk screen printing the ink is applied to the back of the image carrier and pushed through porous and open areas. The image is on a piece of silk stretched on a frame and backed
by a rubber squeegee containing ink. The non printing areas on the silk screen are blocked out, and the ink is pushed through the porous areas corresponding to the design.
